Is it best to get a tattoo removed within a month of getting tattoo? I got a tattoo this weekend and it’s much bolder than the stencil was! Placement is on my wedding finger (inner)
Generally speaking, the older a tattoo is, the more time the body has had to break down the ink naturally, making tattoo removal easier; however, the ink doesn't fully settle into the dermis for up to 3 months after getting a tattoo. This means that sometimes, if you treat a tattoo 6 weeks after getting it, 6 weeks being the recommended time to wait prior to laser, you can pull some ink out from the surface in a scab as well.
