No. This is a question that many new patients ask about, and we understand their concerns. With our modern lasers, (Discovery Pico, TriVantage 755, RevLite SI, Quanta Q+C,) the chance of scar tissue development is extremely minimal if the tattoo is taken care of correctly after laser treatment. Our lasers don't go deep enough into the tissue to create a scarring response and are in and out of the skin so fast, the surrounding tissue isn't damaged. With older, outdated lasers, the chance of scar tissue is greatly increased, but we know how to handle all skin types and have the best possible equipment to do so.
There is no need to be concerned about scarring unless you have a history of keloid scarring, which our provider will discuss with you.
